A lifeline for LGBTQI+ people in Africa
The Need is Great
Rainbow Haven is a lifeline for LGBTQI+ refugees at a vulnerable point in their journey to asylum.
Rainbow Haven operates safe Havens
Rainbow Haven provides food and shelter to LGBTQI +asylum seekers who find themselves in precarious situations. Often in hiding and vulnerable with no support in countries that are not their own. This is the most dangerous stage of their journey before they are resettled in a third country.
We understand the unique challenges faced by individuals who are fleeing persecution based on their sexual orientation or gender identity, and we’re here to offer support them while in hiding and going through the long UNHCR refugee process.
We provide essential support to LGBTQI+ asylum seekers while in hiding, offering food and shelter as they seek safety and protection.
We help LGBTQI+ individuals after fleeing persecution, while they are in hiding and going through the refugee process.
Your contribution pays for food and shelter and shows the LGBTQI+ asylum seekers someone cares about them. Donate today to support our mission.
